About.... Suzanne Richards - Principal
From a very early age, I’ve had an undeniable love of animals—and luckily turned that obsession into a business rather than a zoo in my backyard. Over the years I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience rescuing, treating, and working with a wide variety of animals (some better behaved than others). Combined with many years spent on photo shoots, television sets, and film productions, this has perfectly prepared me for life as a professional on-set animal wrangler—where patience, experience, and a good sense of humour are essential. |
Action Animals is home to some of the most talented animal trainers in the industry—people who have spent their lives mastering the very specialised art of convincing animals to hit their mark. We love a challenge, so take a wander through the Action Animals website and meet the impressive (and occasionally mischievous) range of animal talent we represent. While you’re there, check out our work across film, television, and print—proof that our animals really do shine in front of the camera. 🐾🎬
Our Training Philosophy...
At Action Animals, we train animals to be screen-ready pros, not just well-behaved pets. We start early, train smart using positive reinforcement, and deliver results in a happy, safe environment. Safety is always our top priority—for animals and crew alike—and after years in the Australian film and TV industry, we’ve got the standards (and the calm nerves) to prove it.
